Amongst the earlier roman pot recovered were several sherds of Samian from Gaul, the importation of this moulded pottery was virtually finished by the end of the 2nd century, this Dr37 was located in the construction trench of the wing

A black colour coated and Barbotine scroll decorated beaker of the 2nd century, made in central Gaul, probably Lezoux. Recovered from the 3rd century fill of the 2nd century enclosure ditch.
A stamped mortarium by the potter Albinus. Albinus was working at a kiln site near Verulamian(St Albans) from about 60AD to 90AD. This was recovered from the late 1st century fill of the late Iron-Age gully dug stockade, see Site Plan. The stockade became redundant when the late 1st Romanised timber building was constructed.
