Archaeological Watching Brief
In the 2010 work to install toilets in the vestry, and a kitchenette at the west end of the nave commenced.
The work needed a watching brief in order to protect the historic environment and Penk Valley Archaeology carried out this brief during the trenching and pipe installation.
This was to be the opportunity to prove the villa extensions, then in 2012 excavations were carried out in a unconcecrated area of the churchyard to the rear of the church.
